Shade sails for basketball courts

Aerosail have been designing and building shade sail structures over basketball courts since 1987. They can be designed to suit a wide range of weather conditions including areas exposed to tropical tropical cyclones. The Aerosail Summit is the most popular design for covering multiple courts because of it’s reliability and economical cost.  The Aerosail Peak with overhead support wires is the number one choice for single courts. Both use knitted permeable shade cloth which is cool, provides a high level of UV protection.

Shade sails over tennis courts

Like basketball courts, the Aerosail Summit is the ideal choice for multiple courts, only the perimeter height is another 2 metres (7 Metres) higher. For single courts the recommended design is either an Aerosail Marauder or a Conic design with steel support frame. The Marauder and the Conic are available in either shade or waterproof.

Shade sails for playgrounds

There are many design concepts used for playgrounds and and has a characteristic which makes them suitable for a particular circumstance.

The Aerosail peak is economical, strong efficient design with low side and high centre for excellent shade cover but it needs space for the central column. The Aerosail Peak is an ideal substitute when Summit is not possible, but it has wire rope backstays. The Aerosail Wave is a very economical solution when there is no need to clear high play equipment. The Marauder is the first choice when the Summit or the Peak are not suitable because it has no central column nor backstays. It also has anti-climbing features which makes it suitable for areas with a higher prevalence of vandalism.

Sails for golf, archery and shooting practice

The cantilevered barrel vault has been specifically designed for this use, with it’s high front and low rear side. Available in shade or waterproof, commercial operators report substantial increases in usage (and profitability) when it is otherwise too hot or raining.
